HMO Architect Norman Road

NORMAN ROAD, HMO Architect’s Innovative Interior Design

HMO Architect, a leading UK-based architectural practice specialising in HMOs and co-living design, undertook a remarkable transformation in Southsea, Portsmouth, converting a property into a striking 7-bed HMO.

A Fresh Vision for Southsea Living

The HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) market in Southsea, a part of the vibrant city of Portsmouth in the UK, has been a point of interest for many investors. The unique blend of historic charm and modern urban life makes Southsea a desirable place to live, especially for students and young professionals.
HMO Architect set on a mission to craft a unique, stylish, and inviting space that not only outshone local competition but also enhanced the tenants’ living experience.

When HMO Architect took the reins from the previous architect, their focus was on redefining the property. The existing building regulations and construction drawings were in place, but a unique identity was yet to be born. Enter HMO Architect with their innovative approach.

Modern Kitchen Design

The heart of this transformation lay in the mood boards – five distinct visions for the interior. After careful consideration, the client opted for a contemporary aesthetic featuring a soothing grey colour palette. This choice set the tone for a design that would stand out and make a indelible impression.

Balancing Elegance with Warmth

HMO Architect’s vision did not stop at paint and decor. They introduced wooden acoustic wall panels, walnut wood elements in the bedrooms, and natural oak wood in the living spaces. This clever interplay of textures and materials injected warmth and character into the design, creating a cosy, welcoming atmosphere.

In the end, the client was delighted with the result. The grey accents, wooden elements, and the clever use of white walls struck the perfect balance, creating a spacious yet snug living environment. HMO Architect’s dedication to achieving this harmony exemplifies their commitment to both their clients and their craft.

A masterful HMO conversion

HMO Architect’s journey in Southsea showcases the potential in turning a property into a unique, stylish, and unforgettable 7-bed HMO. The prowess is not only reflected in the design but also in the experience they provide to tenants, setting the highest standards in the local market.

Explore what masterful transformation is all about and find inspiration in the art of balancing elegance and warmth through HMO Architect’s extraordinary interior design.
